Recipes for a relaxed meal time

With the Duo Meal Station

Meal time does not need to be stress full.  We get it, it’s hard to reason with a baby and after probably a sleepless night, using the last of your energy to cook, you’re likely exhausted in trying to keep baby calm and happy.  Here are a few ideas which might be able to keep the entire family in a chill place.

Nothing tastes better than a healthy, homemade meal, and that goes for baby purees as well. Some recipe's to help make planning easier :

Avocado + Pear + Kiwi Puree

  • 1/4 Organic Avocado
  • 1/2 Organic Ripe Pear
  • 2 Organic Kiwi

Instructions :

Scape avocado off of skin and remove pit. Peel and core pear. Peel kiwi. Add all ingredients into blender and puree until smooth.

Will last 2 days in the fridge or 2 months in the freezer. Due to the avocado, the puree might turn a slight brown color when frozen. Freeze immediately to reduce this discoloring.

Sweet Corn, Squash + Apple baby food Puree

  • 2 Cups sweet corn, fresh or frozen
  • 1 Cup apples, cored and chopped
  • 1 Cup butternut squash, peeled and chopped

Instructions :

Steam the butternut squash for 4 minutes, add the apples on top of the butternut squash, cover, and steam for an additional 2 minutes. Add the corn on top, cover and steam for an additional 2 minutes. Let cool slightly. Reserve the steamer water.

Place all of the ingredients into the blender and puree for 1-2 minutes on high or until the puree is completely smooth. If puree is too thick, add in reserved steamer water, breast milk, formula or stock, a tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
